This Months Featured Product:

We all love fashion and we all love a good cause... Check out http://www.withintension.com/ For every Tension shirt that you buy, at least one school uniform is given to a child in the village of Tegot, in northern Uganda, so they are able to attend school.

Tension is a socially responsive initiative that was created to engage a network of consumers who are interested in playing an active role in the developing and purchasing of products and services that improves the lives of others. The company believes that our consumers can have a personal impact and see global change through their purchases. Tension’s network meets and builds the products that we ultimately market, and that they themselves would purchase.

Where they work:

Currently Tension is partnered with the small community of Tegot in war-torn northern Uganda, located 17 kilometers northeast of the main town of Gulu. Education is a vital key to development, life, and hope in this area of Africa. Working with Tegot Primary School, the sales of our products enable Tension to outfit the entire primary school population with school uniforms. School uniforms are required for attendance (612 students, ages 5-16) and often the cost of a $5 uniform prohibits most school-age children from attending school, especially in the poverty-stricken community of Tegot. With the ability to attend school, there is hope for children, families, and this community. Tension has also partnered with local tailors in the communities of northern Uganda. These local women are paid fair wages to make the necessary school uniforms that Tension’s customers are providing for the children of Tegot. Not only are children going to school, but fair employment opportunities are transforming the lives of families

Have a Stylish Day!
